Dubai Day Five

It's 2.22am GMT+8, so it's 10.22pm here in Dubai.

It... was a... tiring day yesterday. Woke up at 7+ and I was concussed again. While I planned to wake at 9 or so, lazy me ended up only waking at 11+am, after the cleaners have come to clean up the apartment and have left...

Hastily prepared and left for Mall of Emirates (with tired and wobbly legs, no less). It's a really hazy day (not sure if it's hazy or dusty?!), by Singapore standards, PSI 150-160 or more? Meaning, red alert liao, no need go school... Haha... Cabbed my way there - AED30. And for the records again, the cabbie asked if I were a Japanese. Haha... I told him that he's not the first (in fact, third) to think I'm Japanese and he insisted that I looked like one. Wahaha, shiok-ness, coz I think Japanese girls are cute. :P

Anyways, Mall of Emirates is a HUGE mall. 300 over shops, all sorts of things you can find in malls in Dubai, no wonder Bran told me shopping is fabulous here. Bran was from my contract school, we're more like friends coz I never ever taught him before and he just kind of got to know me by talking to me outside the staff room, very interesting boy.

Went for lunch (but I skipped breakie yet again, so I wanted breakfast, not lunch sorta food). Ended up eating at Dunkin' Donuts... yummilicious donuts and hot choc. (Krispy Kreme is there too... but I find it tad too sweet.) Window shopped and got myself a H&M top (AGAIN) and a lilac cardigan [yay, can wear to sch].

I think I covered the entire complex... ok, not all, ALMOST... And I don't mean going into them, just walking outside and looking in... Damn big la, the place. Oh and there's the world largest indoor ski park there!! Best place to hide when you're feeling too hot.

Left the complex nearly at 5 and cabbed back. Cabbie got lost and i made him stop me at the mall instead. AED40 this time. Wah lau, next time tell cabbies just drop me at the mall can liao, no need to make me pay extra for turning in rounds!

So I toured Ibn Battuta Mall the 3rd time, this time snapping pictures of the various themed courts. Think I went to India, China, Persia, Egypt, Tunisia courts but not Andalusia court. Guess what? And I popped by H&M one more time... ended up reserving one dress coz I tried on the M at Emirates but I thought I would like it in S... And Battuta has it!! Whee... Reserved it coz I thought it's really 'sinful' to spend so much in a day. In the same shop somemore.

Went home (ya, I'm starting to call the apartment 'home'...) and we drove out to seek Burger King. Reminds me of Harold and Kumar 1. BK is not cheap here!! AED20 a set, meaning, nearly 8 buckeroos. Fwah... Eugene wanted to get his blazer/ jacket from H&M and so I got to visit it again (might as well buy the dress la), I think that salesperson recognise me liao... :X and we left the place happily with our buys.

Today's a nua day, I think tomorrow won't be so air-con-ish. Shall venture to the Central Dubai area again. (:

Seriously, I'm feeling comfortable here le. Air's bad, my running nose's BAD but I think it's an okay place. When all the buildings, MRT and all are up by 2009, this shall be a good place to visit.

Kz... Gonna sleep early today le...
